About Russ
Russ Russo stands as a luminary in New York City's vibrant film and television landscape, having cultivated his craft at T Schreiber Studios under the mentorship of the same guiding hand that shaped the talents of Edward Norton. His career is a testament to his versatility and dedication, marked by a rich tapestry of roles that span genres and narratives. From his riveting turn as John, a rebel hostage, in NBC's "Revolution," where he shared the screen with Mark Pellegrino, to his portrayal of an enigmatic Eastern European director in Ryan Phillippe's directorial debut "Catch Hell," to his turn opposite Jason Sudeikis , Maisie Williams , Jessica Biel and Mary Steenburgen as a grieving father in Billy Purple’s Book of Love” to a depraved psychopath opposite the late great Tom Sizemore in “ Bad Frank” . Russo's performances resonate with depth and authenticity.

In the acclaimed 2017 film "An Act of War" released in January 2017 by Netflix finding itself in their coveted Top 10 Movie list for the first few months of the year, Russo brought to life the harrowing journey of an Iraq war veteran grappling with the aftermath of PTSD, earning widespread acclaim and the coveted Best Actor Award at NYC's Take Two Film Festival. His talent shined brightly alongside a well-known ensemble cast in "Book of Love," a film that opened the prestigious Tribeca Film Festival in 2016. With each role, Russo delves deep into the psyche of his characters, infusing them with nuance and humanity.

In 2022, Russo's portrayal in the short film
“Victim No 6" garnered him nominations for Best Actor at esteemed film festivals worldwide, further solidifying his status as a consummate performer.
2024 saw Variety announce Russ to be starting in his latest movie ‘ Night of Violence’. As audiences eagerly anticipate his upcoming television series "Chaser," where he takes on the role of Eddi Sebastian, a man bestowed with the power to reshape his past, Russo continues to captivate viewers with his undeniable talent and magnetic presence on screen. ‘Chaser’ hits streaming April 12, 2024.

Monmouth County Actors is Born
When the world changed in 2020 , Russ began coaching brand new actors online and what began as a way to help his fellow actors quickly developed into a full-time business.
In 2020/21, Russ welcomed the birth of his 2 children, whilst 2022 also birthed a local, brick-and-mortar Actors Studio where many of his online clients now have a space to work.

It has been 4 years since MC Actors Studio (Monmouth County Acting) on-camera acting classes came to fruition, aside from his children, this is Russ’s most prideful accomplishment.
For Russ, his Actors are like a creative family and he enjoys assisting them and guiding them as they grow within their craft and the industry.
MC Actors Studio continues to grow and expand in 2024 with more actors joining the family daily.

Only 6 Actors Per session. Reservation only.
On-Camera Acting Technique, Process, Method, and Scene work along with Script Analysis and Multiple Takes
All classes are by invitation only. Walk-ins are NOT accepted. All Actors must complete an interview before being invited to attend Monmouth County Acting. Scripts will be typically sent one week ahead of class. Please try to be off-book before class for the best possible results.
Price: Only $60.00 per session.

IMPORTANT: Please note that classes fill up quickly and space is limited, therefore payment is required in full, 2 days before class to secure your spot. Your place will be allocated to another student if payment is not received. 48-hour cancellation policy, No refund will be given if less than 48 hours' notice of cancelation is received.
